| ATLANTA – Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) will host the fourth annual Mayor’s 5K on the 5th Runway Saturday, Sept. 22. Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms and interim Airport General Manager Balram “B” Bheodari will join roughly 2,000 runners and walkers as they take off on Runway 10-28.
The event, which takes place on the fifth runway of the world’s busiest airport, will include Grammy-nominated rap artist and Atlanta native Young Jeezy, along with four Atlanta Olympic medalists – Christian Coleman, Dwight Phillips, Angelo Taylor and Terrance Trammell – serving as race ambassadors. Participants will be greeted by the thrilling Marching Astros of Frederick Douglass High School, Mayor Bottom’s high school alma mater.
