Directions to ATL

Hartsfield-Jackson is near Interstates 20, 75, 85 and 285, approximately 20 minutes south of downtown Atlanta during normal traffic.

Domestic Terminal

From Downtown Atlanta

Take I-75/85 South to I-85 and continue following signs to Domestic.

From the West

Take I-20 East to I-75/85 South and continue following signs to Domestic.

From the East

Take I-20 West to I-285 South and continue following signs to Domestic.

From the South

Take I-75 North to I-285 West and continue following signs to Domestic.

International Terminal

The international terminal has its own entrance, separate from the domestic terminal. The international terminal entrance is accessible from Interstate 75 at Exit 239.

From Downtown Atlanta or Macon

Take I-75 to Exit 239 and continue following signs to International.

From Augusta or Birmingham

Use I-20 toward I-285 South, then continue following signs to International.

From Montgomery

Take I-85 North to Exit 68 to I-285 East and continue following signs to International.

Common Wayfinding Questions

A free shuttle service is available from the international terminal. Shuttles leave at the curb outside the international terminal and drop off passengers at the west end of the domestic terminal. Passengers can also take the Plane Train from the international terminal to the domestic terminal.

Passengers traveling outside of the United States should check in at the international terminal. Contact your airline for specific check-in requirements.

Passengers flying within the United States should check in at the domestic terminal. Contact your airline for specific check-in requirements.

Designated shuttles transport passengers from the arrivals level of the international terminal to the Rental Car Center and to the domestic terminal ground transportation center, which includes the MARTA train station.

Arriving international passengers exit to the lower-level roadway at the international terminal, with passenger pickup on the outer curb. Departing international passengers should be dropped off on the departures level.
